About Carolyn Finney

Carolyn Finney is our Mediation Project Manager. She studied at the Harvard Program on Negotiation from 1992-1994, while working as an environmental lobbyist in Massachusetts. In 1994 she received Harvard’s graduate certificate in the Specialization in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. Carolyn has recently participated in intensive training in Conflict Coaching as well as Elder Care Mediation.

In addition to her coursework at Harvard, Carolyn undertook a 300-hour internship with the Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution, where she worked on the community mediation process that led to the successful clean-up of the New Bedford, Massachusetts Superfund site. Carolyn trained as a mediator with the Cambridge and Quincy Court community mediation program. She has co-presented a workshop on communication skills and is the author of an article published by MIT Environmental Impact Assessment Review.

Carolyn received her M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and her B.A. from Duke University. She is the mother of three sons.
